14 new cases of Zika reported; total now 355

Fourteen new Zika cases were reported here yesterday, bringing the total to 355 since the start of the outbreak on Aug 27.

Of the 14 new cases, six were in the initial cluster in Aljunied, which has reported 279 cases so far.

Another three new cases were linked to Elite Terrace area in Siglap, bringing the total there to 10. Fidelio Street was added to the list of roads in the cluster.

One more case was registered at the Ubi Crescent cluster and one more at Balam Road, which is now part of the Circuit Road/Jalan Raya cluster.

To date, there are seven active Zika clusters in Singapore. The other clusters are in Bedok North Avenue 3, Joo Seng Road and Bishan Street 12. On Wednesday, eight new cases of Zika were reported, after a brief respite when no new cases were reported on Tuesday.
