Apart from the dazzling array of lights that will run through the district of Geylang this June in celebration of Hari Raya Puasa, Singaporeans can look forward to a 12m long batik painting display at the upcoming Hari Raya bazaar.
On Saturday, over 100 residents from the east came down to Kampung Ubi Community Centre to have some fun with Malay traditional activities such as batik painting and gasing (spinning top), in the lead up to the Hari Raya festivities.
Minister for Manpower Tan Chuan-Jin and MP for Marine Parade GRC Fatimah Lateef also had a go at painting batik prints.
