Green products in the spotlight at Singapore Gifts & Premiums Fair

Green environment-friendly products are in the spotlight for the first time in the Singapore Gifts & Premiums Fair (SGPFair) for corporate buyers, Singapore's largest trade show of its kind.

The Eco-Gifts Showcase will feature a collection of innovative gifts such as wood jewellery and art pieces made from factory waste or rejects. Biodegradable cork thumbdrives and pens made from recycled plastic bottles are also on offer at the event, held in conjunction with Office Expo Asia.

SGPFair, now in its 14th year, will be held from July 10 to 12 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center. This year's edition sees a 10 per cent increase in exhibition space and a total of 158 participants. Local exhibitors make up 61 per cent of the promotional and retail gifts on offer, which also features designs from over 30 countries.

Visitors can also look forward to a student collaboration showcase from Republic Polytechnic's National Pushcart Challenge. Participating secondary school students helped social enterprises develop new product solutions, and the fair hopes to match them with suitable business partners to commercialise these ideas.
