Apple customers can now buy iTunes Gift Cards from selected Apple resellers to make purchases on the iPhone maker's Singapore iTunes Store and App Store from Monday.

The gift cards - denominated in $30, $50, $100 and $150 - cannot be used to make purchases on the iTunes Stores and App Stores in other countries. The value of each card can be redeemed on the Singapore iTunes Store or App Store when a customer keys in a code found on the card, or by using the camera of a compatible Apple device to scan the code.

Previously, customers could only buy digital music, movies, games and apps from the two stores by charging the purchase to their credit cards.

Retailers selling the gift cards include Courts, Challenger, EpiCentre, Infinite, iStudio, nubox, Multimedia Integrated and Polaris.

The iTunes Store was launched in Singapore in 2012 and the iTunes App Store in 2008.
