Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates are set to go up by $1 or 50 cents during certain time periods at seven gantries. The new rates, which kick in from Aug 5, will affect the Central Expressway (CTE) and the East Coast Parkway Expressway (ECP).

Rates on the two ECP gantries will go up by $1 to $6 between 8.30am and 9am, said the Land Transport Authority in a statement on Monday.

There are four affected gantries on the southbound CTE (towards the city) after Braddell Road and on the Pan-Island Expressway slip road into the southbound CTE. There is currently no surcharge from 7am to 7.30am, and it costs $4 from 7.30am to 8am. The revised rates will mean a $1 surcharge from 7am to 7.30am, and a increase to $5 from 7.30am to 8am.

On the northbound CTE, rates will increase by 50 cents to $1 from 5.30pm to 6pm, and from $1 to $2 from 6pm to 6.30pm. The next rate review will be in November.
