Three-year-old Gwendolyn Sim getting a balloon sculpture made by Mr Chia Meng Choon, 42, better known as Mr Lightning Fingers, yesterday at an event to celebrate The Seletar Mall's second anniversary.

During the two-hour balloon sculpting segment of the event themed "A Tale of Party Adventures", Mr Lightning Fingers created about 80 balloons depicting characters such as Bugs Bunny, Tweety and Road Runner for children. Shoppers were treated to a fun day packed with performances and free workshops. They also enjoyed free candy floss and popcorn, and a magic show and juggling performance at the family-friendly mall.

From Wednesday to Sunday, shoppers who spend at least $30 in a single receipt can sign up for a variety of workshops, including bottle-making and candle cup-making. They can also do so between June 14 and 18. Workshops, which are held daily at 3pm, are limited to the first 50 shoppers who sign up. There is also a lucky draw where shoppers can win Seletar Mall vouchers worth between $200 and $1,000. Shoppers who spend at least $30 till July 2 qualify for the draw, to be held on July 3. Other terms and conditions apply.
