Full-time national serviceman on guard duty in Pasir Ris camp found dead on New Year's Eve

SINGAPORE - A full-time national serviceman (NSF) on guard duty in camp died on Saturday (Dec 31).

The Singapore Armed Forces NSF was pronounced dead by Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics at 11.32am in Pasir Ris Camp, Singapore's Ministry of Defence said in a press release on Saturday.

Mindef and the SAF "extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late serviceman and are assisting the family in this time of grief", said the release.

Police investigations are ongoing.
