SINGAPORE - A flat in Block 117, Bedok North Road, caught fire on Monday (May 16) evening.

Videos from a Straits Times reader showed debris falling from the burning flat.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted at 5.25pm to the fire at a flat on the 12th floor.

The fire involved the contents of the utility room, and was extinguished using one water jet.

There was no one in the flat when SCDF arrived.

SCDF said there were no reported injuries, and no evacuation conducted for neighbouring units.

It sent two fire engines, a Red Rhino, a fire bike, one support vehicle and an ambulance to the scene.
