Fire at Sengkang construction site put out by workers

SINGAPORE - Plumes of smoke spotted in Sengkang on Friday evening arose from a fire at a construction site at Anchorvale Crescent.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at a construction site near Blk 334B Anchorvale Crescent at about 5.50pm.

The fire was extinguished by two workers using multiple fire extinguishers before SCDF arrived.

The fire involved contents near the void deck of the construction site.

SCDF dispatched two fire engines, one Red Rhino, a fire bike, and two support vehicles to the location.

No injuries were reported. Investigations are ongoing.
