SINGAPORE - Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat will be in Frankfurt from Tuesday (May 3) to Thursday to attend meetings for finance ministers and central bankers.

Both the 19th Asean+3 Finance Ministers'and Central Bank Governors' Meeting, and the 49th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank will be held in the German city this week.

The Asean meeting will discuss the global and regional macroeconomic outlook, as well as ways to strengthen regional financial cooperation among Asean+3 member countries, said the Ministry of Finance in a press release on Monday (May 2).

Asean +3 refers to the 10 Asean countries, China, Japan and South Korea.

Mr Heng will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
