FACEBOOK co-founder and billionaire Eduardo Saverin will soon be getting married to his Chinese Indonesian fiancee, a source close to him has confirmed.

The 33-year-old Brazilian, who has been living in Singapore since 2009, will wed Ms Elaine Andriejanssen, who studied at Raffles Girls' School. The wedding will be held in France.

The source, a friend of the couple, said the pair threw an engagement party in Bali last month.

According to a person who attended the event, it was held at a "majestic" hotel with at least 700 people present. Grammy award- winning singer John Legend performed at the celebrations.

Mr Saverin's relationship status on his Facebook says he has been engaged to Ms Andriejanssen since March 27 last year.

While the source said the wedding will take place next month, a report on Brazilian site Glamurama put the date as June 27.

The report added that the pair would be hitched at the luxurious Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat along the French Riviera, where Mr Saverin has a house. The ceremony will be part of "several days" of festivities. Guests will come from all over the world, and several hotels in the area have been booked, the report said.

Page Six, an entertainment website, had reported on Tuesday that Mr Saverin, who had renounced his United States citizenship in 2011, was going to marry Miss Singapore Universe 2009 Rachel Kum on June 27.

But the source, who asked not to be named, refuted this. The source also declined to reveal more about Ms Andriejanssen, except that she is living here with her family.

Mr Saverin, who is reportedly worth around US$5 billion (S$6.7 billion), making him one of Singapore's richest residents, could not be reached for comment yesterday.
