Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong signed a condolence book on behalf of the Singapore Government for former president Kim Young Sam at the South Korean Embassy on Thursday. Mr Kim, who was president from 1993 to 1998, died on Sunday in Seoul aged 87. Mr Goh, in a post yesterday on his Facebook page MParader, said he struck up a warm relationship with Mr Kim when they attended meetings of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation grouping. He last met Mr Kim at the inauguration of South Korean President Park Geun Hye in 2013. In his message in the condolence book, Mr Goh said Mr Kim served South Korea with dedication and foresight.
