SINGAPORE - The Straits Times won News Picture of the Year at the Singapore Press Holdings' (SPH) annual awards ceremony for its English, Malay and Tamil Media Group on Wednesday (March 22).
Senior executive photojournalist Desmond Foo, 46, bagged the award for his shot of Mr Muhammad Hatin Kamil, 25, who saw his best friend crushed by an oncoming SMRT train in a fatal accident in March last year (2016).
