Why politics?

I was a scholarship holder in the civil service and RC vice-chairman in the grassroots. Both can impact policies in Singapore, but to a limited extent. To be in Parliament is the best way to make sure voices from the ground are heard.

Why you?

I empathise well with the struggles of working parents with young children. Whether it is bringing up children in a fast-paced society or starting a new business, I feel the pains felt by young working parents.

What issues will you focus on?

Encouraging our children to learn how to learn rather than be stressed to score distinctions at the PSLE, and encouraging our younger people to create new industries and businesses.

Favourite spot in Singapore?

Changi Beach, I enjoy taking my family there to set up a tent and have a picnic.
