SINGAPORE - The electricity tariff for the next quarter will decrease by an average of 0.7 per cent compared to the previous quarter.
From Oct 1 to Dec 31, the tariff will lower from 19.27 cents to 19.13 cents, or by 0.14 cent less per kWh.
The new tariff is 20.47 cents including GST.
"The tariff reduction is due to the lower cost of natural gas for electricity generation, which fell by 2.5 per cent compared to the previous quarter," said SP Services on Friday (Sept 30).
The average monthly electricity bill for families living in four-room HDB flats will decrease by $0.57.
