The five mascots for Singapore's upcoming children's science centre, KidsSTOP, were revealed on Thursday morning.

They made their debut appearance at NurtureStars Child Care Centre in Safra Mount Faber where they gave a performance to about 50 preschoolers.

The five characters, Jo, Max, Pepper, Win and Belle each represent different qualities:

Jo is the leader of the pack, Max is the brawn of the group, Pepper is the brainy one, Win is sporty and energetic and Belle is cute and friendly.

The mascots will visit pre-schools, childcare centres and shopping malls to expose the young children to science.

The children's science centre, which caters to children from 18 months to eight years old, is slated to open in June. It will be housed in the Omni Theatre building of the Science Centre Singapore.
