Senior figure in tertiary education to lead University of Adelaide operations in Singapore

SINGAPORE - The University of Adelaide has appointed an experienced academic to helm its operations here.

The university has chosen Dr Susie Khoo, the current senior vice-president and dean at PSB Academy, as the chief executive officer and dean of the Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre.

Dr Khoo, who has close to two decades of experience in the tertiary education sector, will begin her new role in December.

Professor Christopher Findlay, executive dean of the university's Faculty of the Professions, noted that the appointment is an important step in the university's plans to tap on the Asian education market.

"Given our bold internationalisation strategy, as part of the university's long-term vision for the future, having a well-established presence in the region has enormous benefits for students and staff alike," he said.

Established in 1998, the centre, a joint venture between the Ngee Ann Kongsi and the University of Adelaide, offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in business, computer science and education.
