SINGAPORE - Private education institute PSB Academy launched a new 100,000 sq ft city campus on Tuesday (May 23).

Located within the Marina Square shopping mall the $15 million campus, which complements their existing Tiong Bahru premises, was opened by Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Mr Chan Chun Sing.

Some of the new features in the campus include "industry-standard" film and radio studios and an "innovation sandbox" to explore the use of new techniques in teaching such as virtual reality and augmented reality.

The event also marked the signing of an agreement between the PSB Academy and the Singapore Industrial and Services Employees' Union (Siseu) for a scholarship.

The three-year partnership between the two will allow more than 100 Siseu members to upgrade themselves with diploma and degree courses offered by the academy, to the tune of $100,000 annually.

The opening of the new campus as well as the signing of the agreement with Siseu shows PSB's commitment "to enabling anyone who is willing to make the effort, to afford quality education in his or her area of interest," said PSB executive chairman Viva Sinniah.

Siseu executive secretary Sylvia Choo said of its collaboration that the union was "constantly exploring opportunities with employers and industry partners to make skills training and upgrading more accessible to our members".
