SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Education has opened nominations for the President's Award for Teachers (PAT) 2015, inviting members of the public to nominate outstanding teachers. The award will be conferred by the President at the Istana on Teachers' Day.

This will be the 18th year that the PAT has been open. A total of 66 teachers have received the award since its introduction in 1998.

Teachers who are nominated are expected to lead, care for and inspire their students. They are also expected to be role models to other teachers.
