Mango sticky rice and ice-cream sandwich stamps mark 50 years of Singapore-Thai relations

SINGAPORE - A set of stamps featuring the traditional Thai dessert mango sticky rice and the ice-cream sandwich commonly sold on Singapore's streets will go on sale from Friday.

The stamps, issued by the national postal service providers of Singapore and Thailand, mark 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

They were designed by Singapore's Wong Wui Kong and Thailand's Euamporn Supharoekchai.

A set of two stamps costs $2.30, while a commemorative pack costs $4.80.

The stamps can be purchased from any post office and the Singapore Philatelic Museum. They can also be bought online at www.stampdelight.com.
