Free trial classes and ice-cream at The Kidz Academy education fair this weekend

SINGAPORE - The annual Kidz Academy education fair is back for a seventh year, with a line-up that features stage performances, carnival games and trial classes for both parents and children.

The fair will take place from June 5 to 7 this year, from 11am to 9pm at Suntec Singapore Halls 403 to 405. Admission is free.

During the event, 1,500 goodie bags, each worth more than $30, will be given out. Free Swensen's ice-cream will also be given out to the first 1,000 children daily.

Visitors can also expect meet and greet sessions with cartoon characters like The Minions, who played supporting roles in the animated blockbuster Despicable Me.

There will also be bumper cars, train rides and even a bungee trampoline. A ZooMoov zone offers an animal ride and the challenge of scaling a rock climbing wall.

Other mini activities include friendship bracelet making, colouring workshops, as well as an inflatable playground and photobooth.

Parents and children can also try out a diverse range of trial classes with no strings attached. Some topics offered are public speaking for kids, and hip hop dance classes.

Kent Ridge Education Hub will also be launching its new scholarship programme at the event, in conjunction with the ongoing SG50 celebrations.

Fifty Primary 3 to 6 pupils will stand to receive a full scholarship for one subject of his or her choice. The scholarship covers 20 lessons, including a waiver of registration fee and material costs.

More than 80,00 people are expected to visit three-day event organised by Sphere Exhibits.
