SINGAPORE - A new e-service to apply for a Certificate of Clearance (COC), which certifies that a person has no criminal conviction in Singapore within a stipulated time period, will be launched on Tuesday (June 21).
The service is more convenient and saves time for applicants, police said in a news release on Saturday.
Currently, an individual is required to submit the COC application in person at the Police Cantonment Complex.
With the e-service, an individual can apply, pay and book an appointment for fingerprinting online.
With effect from Tuesday, walk-in applications for the COC will be discontinued at the Police Cantonment Complex.
Applications must be made via the Singapore Police Force e-services website under the "Certificate of Clearance" section.
