Drugs worth $600,000 seized; 4 arrested

More than $600,000 worth of drugs were seized by Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers yesterday as they busted a drug syndicate.

About 6.3kg of heroin, 3.5kg of cannabis and 280g of methamphetamine were seized in the early morning operation. A 54-year-old male Singaporean, a suspected drug trafficker, was nabbed in his Marsiling Drive hideout. Two suspected drug associates, a 49-year-old male and a 43-year-old female, both Singaporeans, were also arrested. CNB officers also tailed a 43-year-old male Malaysian, who was spotted in Marsiling Drive, before he was arrested in Pasir Ris. Investigations into the drug activities of all suspects are ongoing.
