SINGAPORE -Drugs worth more than $282,000 were seized at the Woodlands Checkpoint on Monday (May 16) morning, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said.
A Malaysia-registered lorry was stopped by ICA officers for checks at the Woodlands Checkpoint on Monday at about 4.50am.
The lorry was carrying pails, cans and shield anchors.
Officers found about 2,780g of heroin and 480g of Ice in the compartment behind the passenger seat of the lorry.
The lorry driver, 33, and the passenger, 27, both Malaysians, were arrested and referred to the CNB.
Investigations are ongoing.
