SINGAPORE - Afternoon storms on Tuesday left some commuters along Bukit Timah stuck in heavy traffic due to fallen branches and trees.
One of them, 32-year-old Liew Hanqing, said she counted more than 20 trees with huge branches torn off or completely uprooted at the Sixth Avenue area while on the way home.
"One lane was blocked so there was a traffic warden directing traffic, there was quite a jam and people in uniform were clearing the trees," said Ms Liew.
Photographer Jeremy Tan, 22, also spotted several branches and trees lying on pavements, roads, and even strewn across walls of homes late Tuesday afternoon.
The National Parks Board is understood to have been responding to reports of fallen trees, none of which were serious incidents.
