Furniture and electronics retail giant Courts will be donating $1 from every customer transaction on Christmas Day to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF).

This will take place in all of Courts' 15 stores islandwide on Dec 25, excluding online transactions. The money will go towards providing pocket money to children from low-income families to help them through school.

In its press release on Monday, Courts said that its contribution will go to families to help them with their children's school-related expenses, such as a meal at recess, transport fares to and from school, and stationery.
