Woman accused of sexual offence faces 26 fresh charges

SINGAPORE - A woman accused of using a sex toy to abuse a 13-year-old girl was charged with 26 more offences on Friday.

Zunika Ahmad, 37, who was dressed like a man, was first hauled to court for a sexual penetration charge in March this year.

Subsequently, she has appeared in court on several occasions for her case to be mentioned. Of the 26 additional charges, 21 relate to the same victim, who cannot be named due to a gag order.

Zunika allegedly used her fingers to penetrate the teen with her consent five times at a flat in Sengkang between August and December last year.

She is also said to have been physically intimate with the victim in February 2012, about a month before the first alleged sexual offence.

She also faces a charge of slapping the girl, who is now 15, in March this year.

In an unrelated case, she is accused of permitting to have made a false entry in the registration of a birth of a female child by stating that her father is an Indonesian national.

The alleged offence took place at the Registry of Births and Deaths on March 22, 2002.

On four occasions, she is accused of fraudulently using as genuine a forged Indonesian passport at Tuas Immigration checkpoint and Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal on Feb 14 and March 30, 2002 respectively; and at Singapore Cruise Centre on Sept 1 and 7, 2003.

Zunika, represented by Ms N. Sudha Nair, is out on bail.

A High Court pre-trial conference is scheduled on Oct 21.

She will appear in court again on Dec 2.
