Two teens arrested for attacking 17-year-old with knives

SINGAPORE - Two teenagers who attacked another teen with knives earlier this week were arrested by the police on Thursday (Sept 17).

The duo, both aged 18, had attacked the 17-year-old teen at about 5pm along Yio Chu Kang Road on Monday.

Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division and the Criminal Investigation Department established their identities through extensive ground enquiries, said the police in a news release.

The suspects were arrested in Buangkok Crescent and in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3.

They will be charged in court on Friday with voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons.

If convicted, the duo face up to seven years in jail and can also be caned.
