Two men arrested for vehicle thefts

SINGAPORE - Two men, aged 22 and 24, were arrested on Monday (May 29) for their suspected involvement in a series of thefts from vehicles.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said in a media release that it was alerted to a case of theft from a vehicle at Buroh Street on May 15.

Both men were nabbed by officers from Jurong Police Division along Fishery Port Road with the aid of extensive enquiries and images from closed-circuit television cameras.

Citing preliminary investigations, the SPF added that both men are believed to be involved in other similar cases of theft from vehicles along Buroh Street.

CashCards were reported stolen from other motorcycles and unsecured vehicles along the street.

If convicted of theft from vehicle, the suspects will each face up to three years of imprisonment and a fine.
