SINGAPORE - Police have arrested two men for circulating obscene photos and videos taken without the knowledge or consent of the women depicted.

The men were arrested in a coordinated operation, following police reports lodged over the obscene materials.

The first man, aged 24, was arrested at his home in Loyang Rise on Tuesday (Nov 29), while the second man, a 26-year-old, was arrested at his home in Segar Road on Wednesday (Nov 30).

Recording devices, mobile phones, hard disks and a computer were seized as evidence.

The maximum penalty for possession of obscene materials is a fine and three months' imprisonment.

The police said in a press release on Wednesday that it takes a stern view against the invasion of privacy and advises the public not to circulate any such photos and videos.
