SINGAPORE - Two men aged 21 and 38 have been arrested for their suspected involvement in committing robbery with hurt.
The incident occurred on the morning of Nov 16, when the two are alleged to have targeted a 48-year-old woman in the lift of a Crawford Lane housing block.
As the victim was exiting the lift, one of the suspects is said to have grabbed her by the neck from behind, and punched her face and stomach. Both men then snatched her sling bag containing a coin pouch, mobile phone and cash, before fleeing.
The suspects were nabbed two days later in separate operations. The victim's smart phone was also recovered. The two men could face up to 20 years' imprisonment and at least 12 strokes of the cane if convicted.
