SINGAPORE - Two women, aged 15 and 25, were arrested on Thursday (May 5) for their suspected involvement in loan sharking activities.

Police said on Friday that they received a report on April 27 on loan shark harassment, where a house at Jurong West was secured by a bicycle lock and splashed with paint. Loan shark graffiti was also found scrawled on the wall.

Through interviews with people and with the help of police cameras, police officers from Jurong Division identified the two suspects and arrested them at Holland Close.

The suspects are believed to have carried out similar harrassment acts at Boon Lay, Jurong East, Punggol, Hougang and Commonwealth housing estates. Police also seized a black cap, a pouch, a haversack and a mobile phone as case exhibits.
