Two arrested for armed robbery along Upper Jurong Road

SINGAPORE - Two teenagers aged 18 and 19 have been arrested for their suspected involvement in an armed robbery on Jan 16, the police said on Thursday afternoon.

At 12.25am, a 29-year-old man had been robbed along Upper Jurong Road, by suspects armed with a knife.

Officers from Jurong Police Division managed to establish the identities of the two suspects, who were arrested along Tah Ching Road on Jan 28.

Both will be charged with armed robbery on Jan 30. The offence which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail and 12 strokes of cane.
