SINGAPORE - Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with cases of theft from vehicles at Dover, Clementi and Holland estates.

Police said they received several reports of cash cards and other valuables being stolen from lorries parked at the estates between Friday (Sept 18) and Monday (Sept 21).

After investigation, police identified the suspects and arrested them at Toa Payoh on Monday.

The suspects are aged between 15 and 25.

If convicted, the two men will be subject to a maximum jail term of three years' imprisonment, and/or a fine. The investigation against the woman is ongoing.

Police advised members of the public to take the following precautions to prevent theft from their vehicles:

* Park in well-lit areas and do not leave valuables in the vehicle

* Install an anti-theft system

* Remove cash cards and other valuables such as laptops before leaving the vehicle, even if it is for a short while.

* Wind up all windows and close all doors of the vehicle, even if it is left unattended for a short while
