A 44-year-old man suspected of molesting a woman on an MRT train has been arrested.

He is suspected to have molested the woman on board a train in the Yishun area, police said yesterday.

Information on a suspected molester on a train was posted on social media on Sunday, police said.

The man was arrested on Wednesday at Hougang Mall following a tip-off from a member of the public.

Police said that investigations are ongoing. If found guilty of outrage of modesty, the person can be jailed up to two years and/or caned.
