SINGAPORE - The service counter at Kampong Java Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) has reopened after a temporary closure due to a fire that disrupted its power supply about a week ago.

The power supply to Tanglin Police Division Headquarters and its co-located Kampong Java Neighbourhood Police Centre has since been restored, said the police in a statement on Sunday evening.

A switchbox in the generator room of Tanglin Police Divisional Headquarters, where the neighbourhood police centre is located, caught fire on Feb 21, disrupting power supply to the building.

Preliminary investigations by the Singapore Civil Defence Force showed that the fire was accidental in nature.
