Newborn baby found dead in toilet of Tampines MRT station

SINGAPORE - A newborn baby boy was found dead in a toilet at Tampines MRT station on Friday (June 3) afternoon.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at about 1.40pm. An ambulance arrived within seven minutes and found the body inside the first-floor female toilet.

The baby was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

The area around the toilet was cordoned off by the police for at least two hours for investigations. A body bag was seen carried out from the toilet at around 4pm.

Investigations are ongoing.
