Man in his 30s trapped in lorry cabin after accident; sent conscious to hospital with three others

SINGAPORE - A man in his 30s was on Monday (Nov 7) trapped in a lorry cabin after an accident between two lorries and two trucks on the Seletar Expressway.

He was later extricated by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) using hydraulic tools, said an SCDF spokesman.

The man, and three other casualties, were all taken conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH).

The accident took place at about noon before the Lentor Avenue exit along the Seletar Expressway in the direction of the Central Expressway. Motorists were advised to avoid lanes three and four, according to a tweet by the Land Transport Authority.

SCDF dispatched two fire engines, two ambulances and one support vehicle to the scene after they were alerted to it at about 12.15pm.

The police said investigations are ongoing.
