SINGAPORE - The police have arrested a 46-year-old man for molesting a woman on a bus.
The 32-year-old victim was on the bus on Sunday when she was molested by the suspect. She alerted the bus captain and the police were called. Officers from Jurong Police Division responded and arrested the suspect.
The man will be charged in court on Monday.
A person convicted for outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 will be punished with a jail term of up to two years or a fine, and also be liable to caning.
