SINGAPORE - A 62-year-old man died after an accident involving the electric bicycle he was riding collided with a tipper truck at Cecil Street towards Collyer Quay on Friday (Nov 18) morning.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics and a 54-year-old tipper truck driver was arrested for causing death by a negligent act, police said. Investigations are ongoing.

A video of the scene after the accident was posted on Facebook road safety community page Roads.sg.

Last month, Mr Ang Yee Fong, 25, and Mr Ong Zi Quan, 18, died after being hit by a trailer while riding their e-bikes near the junction of Pandan Crescent along West Coast Highway.
