When Justice Aedit Abdullah applied to join the Singapore Law Review 28 years ago as an undergraduate, he was rejected. But last week, the review invited him to deliver its 30th annual lecture.
Justice Aedit's lecture at the National University of Singapore's law faculty, titled "The Obsolescent Judge", was a departure from topics on well-established legal matters in the preceding years, like prosecutorial discretion and the death penalty by Attorney-General Lucien Wong and Justice Steven Chong respectively.
