It was to mark the "Eat With Your Family Day", proposed by non-profit organisation Centre for Fathering.

The number is a 93 per cent increase from that of last year.

Of the organisations, 219 were from the private sector, 360 were schools, and 33 were from the ministries and statutory boards.

"Eat With Your Family Day" serves as a nation-wide movement to remind fathers how mealtimes provide a unique opportunity to build stronger family bonds.
