Hiker missing since Friday found dead in carpark

SINGAPORE - A man's body found at the top level of a multi-storey carpark is believed to be that of 27-year-old Steward Lee Goon Hong, who was reported missing on Friday (Feb 17).

The 1.8m-tall Mr Lee was last seen at Block 407 at Fajar Road at around 2pm that day. He did not inform anyone about his whereabouts and had left his mobile phone at home, sparking a frantic search led by his family and friends over the weekend.

He was last seen wearing a pair of black framed spectacles, a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

His family made a police report on Friday night and the police sent out a missing person alert on their Facebook page on Saturday afternoon, appealing for information on Mr Lee.

His older sister, Ms Lee Yunqin, also posted an appeal for help on her Facebook page on Saturday.

On Monday at 6.52pm, the police were alerted to the body of a man at the carpark of Block 468A Segar Road. The man was pronounced dead by paramedics at scene and police identified the body as Mr Lee after preliminary investigations.

The police have classified the case as unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.
