SINGAPORE - Four women and one man have been arrested by police for their suspected involvement in vice activities in a Housing Board flat in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6.
They were caught taking part in sexual activities in the flat at about 9.30pm on Monday, June 2.
The 39-year-old man was arrested for having paid sex with a minor, police said in a statement on Thursday evening.
It added that the four women, aged between 17 and 26, were arrested for providing sexual services in the flat. They had also advertised their sexual services online.
Cash amounting to $1,024 and other exhibits, including mobile phones, were seized from the scene. Investigations against the five suspects are ongoing, police said.
Those found guilty of keeping, managing or assisting in the management of a brothel is liable to a fine of up to $10,000, a maximum jail term of five years, or both.
Obtaining the sexual services of a minor under 18 years of age is also punishable with a jail term of up to seven years, a fine, or both.
