SINGAPORE - The number of children arrested fell last year though shoplifting remained the top offence.
Police statistics released to The Straits Times show that 1,088 juveniles under the age of 16 were arrested in 2017, down from 1,134 in 2016 and 30 per cent fewer than the 1,561 caught in 2012.
