73 arrested for vice, drug and other offences in 3-day joint enforcement operation

SINGAPORE - Seventy-three people were arrested for a range of offences in a multi-agency joint enforcement operation from June 16 to 18.

The suspects were involved in vice activities, public gaming and drug and immigration offences, the police said in a news release on Wednesday (June 22).

Drug-related paraphernalia, heroin and Ice were seized in the operation.

A public entertainment outlet was also found to have breached fire safety rules and regulations.

The operation was led by the Jurong Division, and supported by officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau's Enforcement "J" Division, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and the Singapore Civil Defence Force.

Commander of Jurong Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Koh Wei Keong, thanked members of the public who cooperated with the officers during the operation.

He added: "This joint operation is part of Police's continuous efforts to clamp down criminal activities.

"Police will continue to work closely with other Home Team and law enforcement agencies to deal with those who take part in these illicit activities."

Investigations into all the suspects are ongoing.
