4 men, aged between 15 and 22, arrested for assaulting 40-year-old man

SINGAPORE - Four men, aged between 15 and 22, were arrested late on Friday for their suspected involvement in a case of causing grievous hurt.

Police said they recieved a call for assistance at Block 201, Tampines Street 21 at 3.40am on Friday. At the scene, Police said they established that a 40-year-old man was involved in a dispute with four men and had been assaulted by them.

The suspects' identities were established within 20 hours and they were arrested on the same day, the police said in a statement on Friday night.

All four will be charged in court on Saturday. If convicted of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt, they could be jailed for up to 10 years. They could also be fined, or caned.
