SINGAPORE - Three men were arrested in relation to a case of affray, after a fight broke out at the carpark of shopping mall Chinatown Point earlier this month, the police said on Wednesday (Feb 21).

It was unclear what caused the fight.

A video of the brawl published by citizen journalism site Stomp on Tuesday had gone viral.

It shows a silver van reversing into a parking space while a man directs the driver.

The driver of another vehicle, a blue one that has stopped in front of the silver van, is shown stepping out of his car and approaching the van.

He then reaches into the window and throws something inside before the man directing the driver throws punches at him. They then begin fighting each other, before passers-by break up the fight.

The police told The Straits Times that it was alerted to the case of affray at 133, New Bridge Road at 5.29pm on Feb 9.

"Three men aged between 25 and 51 were arrested in relation to the case," said the police spokesman.

The Straits Times understands that two men aged 25 and 32 were from the silver van, while the 51-year-old man was the driver of the blue vehicle.

Police investigations are ongoing.
