19 year-old arrested for series of thefts involving motorcycle component parts

SINGAPORE - A 19-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a series of motorcycle component part thefts at Jalan Tenaga, the police said on Thursday (Aug 25).

For the past few months, police had received several reports whereby motorcycle component parts were stolen from the two-wheelers parked in Bedok.

After extensive ground enquiries, police officers from Bedok Division established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on Thursday.

The offence of Theft of Motorcycle Component Parts under Section 379A of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, carries a maximum jail term of seven years, and is also liable to a fine.
