15 nabbed in suspected illegal gambling den in Jalan Rajawali

SINGAPORE - Fifteen men were nabbed on Tuesday (Nov 29) in a private home in Jalan Rajawali for suspected involvement in illegal gambling, the police said in a statement.

Clementi Division officers arrested 14 suspects in the residential unit and later arrested the unit's tenant as well.

Chips and mobile phones were seized, along with $531 and RM1,470 (S$470) in cash.

Police investigations are underway. Those found guilty of owning or occupying an illegal gambling den can be fined between $5,000 and $50,000 and jailed up to three years, while those caught in one can be fined up to $5,000 and jailed up to six months.
